Why Choose

Captain Craig Lahr?

As a young boy growing up on Indian Rocks Beach fishing the old pier I observed that the “Old-timers” were vast with knowledge. I was extremely fortunate they liked how passionate I was about fishing and they took me under their wings. For years I fished that pier with them and they shared their knowledge.

In 1985 Hurricane Elena hit Tampa Bay, effectively taking away my favorite fishing pier and with it the informal educational sessions I so enjoyed.

After this I began working as a mate on a commercial fishing vessel. In my spare time I fished as often as I could off other local piers and the flats. Those early days of fishing the flats were just incredible.  I immediately fell in love with fishing all over again.

After a few years working as a commercial fisherman and catching the fever for flats fishing, I met an excellent local fisherman who introduced me to “Light Tackle Sport Fishing”. I learned the finer points of fly fishing and light tackle.

I have made the backwater estuaries my second home.

Craig as he guides Clearwater, Johns Pass, Redington Shores and all the Tampa Bays water providing fishing memories that will last a life time.
