Redfish in the Flats are ON
So far November has started off quite Breezy. The redfish bite has been extremely good around most Flats spots, spoil Islands and Mangrove bushes. Best bait to get these red fish have been cut ladyfish or cut threadfin herring. These Reds are hungry though, so you might be surprised with what hooks them.
Trout, Snook and King Mackerel as ETA passes and Water Temps are forecasted to drop
Also producing well so far this November, Trout and Snook have been plentiful. Before tropical storm Eta, king mackerel had just started to show up in big numbers. After the storm we now have a projected cold front in the coming days so look for the water temperatures to drop in the Clearwater and Indian Rocks ares, along with throughout Florida’s gulf coast. When this happens the king mackerel and Spanish mackerel tend to really get on the bite.
Bonus Tip: Tripletail
Check the crab trap buoys for tripletail as we’ve seen them hiding out and producing well in these areas.
